What is Scrap?
It is not waste, trash, or garbage. It
is old
automobiles, ships, farm equipment, refridgerators, stoves, bicycles,
computers, airplanes, buildings and bridges, packaging materials - all
these contain scrap. Scrap is also material left over in a factory when
new products are manufactured. Scrap has value because it is the
feedstock in the manufacture of new products. It is not garbage
because it is diverted away from the normal stream of waste.
Scrap material is divided into ferrous ( iron and
steel
), and non-ferrous ( containing no iron ) metals, and glass, paper,
rubber, and textiles
Goodman Services processes ferrous and non-ferrous
metals, and some forms of paper recycling and related servicies. We
manage many industrial and retail (peddler)
accounts.
